These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of carpet cleaning and related services by Carpet Cleaning SE16 to residential and commercial customers within its operating areas. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order for any service.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

Customer means the individual or business requesting and receiving services.

Company means Carpet Cleaning SE16, the cleaning service provider.

Services means carpet cleaning and any additional cleaning services offered by the Company.

Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract formed between the Customer and the Company in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides professional carpet cleaning and related services within its designated service areas, including SE16 and surrounding districts. The specific Services, including any add-ons such as upholstery or rug cleaning, stain removal, and deodorising, will be confirmed at the time of booking.

All Services are subject to availability and the Company reserves the right to decline any booking request at its sole discretion, including where the Premises are outside the usual operating area or where the Company considers the job unsuitable for health, safety, or operational reasons.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings can be made by the Customer through the Company’s accepted booking channels, such as online forms or other approved methods as communicated by the Company from time to time.

3.2 The Customer must provide accurate information when making a booking, including the address of the Premises, type and size of areas to be cleaned, any particular stains or issues, access requirements, parking information, and any other relevant details.

3.3 The Company may provide an initial quotation based on the information supplied by the Customer. This quotation is an estimate only and may be subject to change after inspection of the Premises. Any variation will be communicated to the Customer before work commences, wherever reasonably possible.

3.4 A booking will be considered confirmed once the Customer has accepted the quotation, agreed to these Terms and Conditions, and, where required, paid any applicable deposit or prepayment as specified by the Company.

3.5 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that an authorised person is present at the Premises at the agreed date and time to provide access and to approve the scope of the Services where necessary.

4. Access, Parking, and Preparation

4.1 The Customer must ensure that the Company and its staff have safe and reasonable access to the Premises at the agreed time, including any keys, entry codes, or other means of entry that may be required.

4.2 The Customer must provide adequate parking arrangements or information for nearby parking. Any parking charges or penalties incurred as a result of inadequate information or restrictions may be added to the Customer’s final invoice.

4.3 The Customer is requested to remove small items, breakables, and personal belongings from the areas to be cleaned and to ensure that the floors are reasonably clear to facilitate effective cleaning.

4.4 Where heavy furniture needs to be moved, this will be subject to the Company’s operational policies and health and safety considerations. The Company is not obliged to move heavy, fragile, or valuable items, and may limit cleaning to accessible areas only.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment for Services is due on completion of the work on the day the Services are provided.

5.2 The Company accepts payment by methods it specifies from time to time, which may include cash, card payments, or approved electronic payment systems. The accepted payment options will be communicated at the time of booking or on the invoice.

5.3 The Company reserves the right to require a deposit or full prepayment prior to the date of the Service, particularly for larger jobs, commercial work, or bookings outside core service areas.

5.4 All quoted prices are inclusive or exclusive of any applicable taxes as stated at the time of quotation. The Customer agrees to pay any applicable taxes that apply to the Services.

5.5 If payment is not received on the due date, the Company may suspend further Services and reserves the right to charge interest or late payment fees in accordance with applicable law.

6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Show

6.1 The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice prior to the scheduled appointment time. The minimum notice period will be communicated by the Company but is typically at least 24 hours before the appointment.

6.2 If the Customer cancels or reschedules with less than the required notice period, the Company reserves the right to charge a late cancellation fee, which may be a fixed amount or a percentage of the quoted price.

6.3 If the Customer fails to provide access to the Premises at the agreed time, or if the Company’s staff attend the Premises and are unable to carry out the work due to circumstances within the Customer’s control, this may be treated as a late cancellation and a fee may be charged.

6.4 The Company may cancel or reschedule a booking due to reasons beyond its reasonable control, including illness of staff, vehicle breakdown, severe weather, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, the Company will use reasonable efforts to notify the Customer as soon as possible and to arrange a new appointment time. The Company will not be liable for any indirect losses arising from such cancellations or delays.

7. Service Standards and Limitations

7.1 The Company will provide the Services with reasonable skill and care, using appropriate equipment, products, and techniques for professional carpet cleaning.

7.2 While the Company will endeavour to remove or reduce staining and odours, it does not guarantee that all stains or marks can be completely removed. The outcome may depend on the nature, age, and condition of the carpet and the type of stain.

7.3 The Customer acknowledges that pre-existing damage, wear, discolouration, or defects in carpets and fabrics may become more apparent following cleaning and that such issues are not caused by the Company’s Services.

7.4 The Company may decline to apply certain treatments if, in its professional judgment, they are unsuitable for the type or condition of the carpet, or may cause damage or discolouration.

8. Customer Obligations

8.1 The Customer must inform the Company of any known defects, damage, or particular sensitivities related to the carpets, underlay, or flooring, including but not limited to loose seams, shrinkage risks, colour-fastness issues, or previous cleaning treatments.

8.2 The Customer must ensure that pets and children are kept away from the work areas while cleaning is in progress and until carpets and fabrics are dry, for safety and hygiene reasons.

8.3 The Customer is responsible for providing access to electricity and water at the Premises, where reasonably required for the performance of the Services.

9. Waste Management and Environmental Regulations

9.1 The Company will handle and dispose of any waste generated in the course of providing Services in accordance with applicable waste management and environmental regulations.

9.2 Any waste or residue arising from carpet cleaning, such as extracted water, soiling, or packaging from products used by the Company, will be managed safely and responsibly. Where waste needs to be removed from the Premises, the Company will comply with relevant laws relating to transport and disposal.

9.3 The Customer must inform the Company in advance if there are any hazardous substances, contamination, or special waste considerations at the Premises. The Company reserves the right to refuse to deal with hazardous or regulated waste that falls outside its normal service provision.

10. Liability and Insurance

10.1 The Company will take reasonable care when providing the Services at the Premises. The Company is insured in accordance with industry practice for public liability and related risks.

10.2 The Customer must notify the Company of any alleged damage or loss as soon as reasonably possible and, in any event, within a reasonable time after the Services have been completed.

10.3 The Company’s liability for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall be limited to the amount paid or payable by the Customer for the specific Service in question, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

10.4 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or loss of enjoyment, whether arising directly or indirectly from the Services.

10.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

11. Complaints and Service Issues

11.1 If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should notify the Company as soon as practicable so that the Company has the opportunity to address the issue.

11.2 The Company may, at its discretion, offer to re-clean certain areas or provide another form of resolution, provided that the complaint is reasonable and relates directly to the quality of the Services supplied.

11.3 Any re-cleaning or remedial work must normally be carried out within a reasonable period after the original Service date and at a mutually agreed time.

12. Pricing, Offers, and Changes

12.1 All prices and offers are subject to change without notice, but the Company will honour the price quoted and accepted at the time of booking, except where there is a material change in the scope of work based on the actual condition or size of the areas to be cleaned.

12.2 Promotional offers, discounts, or packages may be subject to additional terms such as minimum spend, specific days or times, or particular service area limitations. Such additional terms will be communicated with the offer.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

13.1 The Company will collect and process personal data from the Customer as necessary to arrange and provide the Services, manage payments, and administer the relationship with the Customer.

13.2 The Company will handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will take reasonable measures to keep personal data secure.

14. Force Majeure

14.1 The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, fire, flood, strikes, transport disruptions, or government restrictions.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms and Conditions and any Agreement arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services provided by the Company.

16. General Provisions

16.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that right or remedy.

16.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and the Company in relation to the Services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
